local young performers
A collection of very talented youngsters from Torbay and surrounding area, are set to kick off the musical line up for the first time ever this year; a platform to experience tomorrows festival favourites. Be sure not to miss these very special performances! This is going to be fab-u-lous!
At just 14yrs Charlotte has already built up an amazing portfolio of live performances including Glasdenbury, Oxjam and Powderham Live. Her style is steampunk described as both energentic and creative. This young singer songwriter is a must see! Can't wait!
A young acoustic artist from Kingskerwell, whose mix will bring both covers and originals to her vibrant performance. Her CV includes appearances at Grinagog, Exeter WOW Festival and Glasdenbury, plus airplay of her own music on BBC Introducing Devon. We are really looking forward to seeing her on our own Occombe stage!
Daisy Clark is a 19 year old singer songwriter from Newquay, Cornwall. Her distinctive voice and style has made her a much sought after act on the South Coast live music scene, resulting in her performing at many top festivals and venues.
Jake Morrell could have come straight out of Nashville, or even from the Californian sunshine, as his music suggests; but Jake is from Norfolk, England! ‘Discovered’ by Dermot O’Leary, who featured him on his Radio 2 Show, Glastonbury boss Emily Eavis happened to hear him and immediately asked Jake to perform at the iconic festival! And now Occombe!
Mafia 4 were last on the Occombe stage in 2015! We are super excited to be welcoming them back!
Blues Brother Collective
The Blues Brothers Collective are a collective of nine, producing great R&B, Funk and Soul classics, ranging from the depths of Devon and beyond. We are delighted to be welcoming them back to Occombe, last here in 2017!
The Kaizens are a direct blast of raw Indie Rock energy. Originally from Torbay, the band’s instantly recognisable sound has captivated audiences across the UK. Recently their new single Fallout was played on TV series Made in Chelsea! They’ve also played live shows with; Razorlight, Scouting For Girls and The Darkness to name a few. And now the Occombe stage: exciting!
Black Water County
Black Water County are a 5 piece group of friends from Bournemouth, that will get us chanting and singing along to their catchy fusion of folk instruments, punk energy and pop melodies. Look forward to hearing their songs about relationships, people they have met and their own angsty experiences of growing up! A very special treat for Occombe fans!
